As of July 7, the wall measures 78″ above the concrete.
Durham (NC) Friends Meeting (Quakers) hosted a rammed earth workshop at our land. Click on pic above for link to entire album (Picasa). Images are of a sculpture that functions as an architectural study, at 1:1 scale, of a section of our north wall. The completed study will measure 96″ from the top of the concrete. Material is unadulterated clay rich, subsoil, compacted by hand tools.
This is the first wooden structure I’ve built in which I knew all the lumber as trees.
